The first style of snow glove is the fingered glove, these are fantastic if you will need any kind of dexterity as you can use your fingers normally however due to this they aren’t as warm due to the spread between fingers.

The mitten style is fantastic at keeping your hands far more warm than gloves, however due to the design you cannot really use your fingers in them so if you need to use your fingers a lot these may not be the best choice for you.

Waterproofing

Waterproofing is extremely important for snow gloves as if non waterproof gloves get water in them then your hands will become extremely cold, waterproofing still leaves the gloves breathable and wind proof making sure that you lose no warmth at all!

It is really worth checking to see if the gloves you want to get have adjustable cuffs ad you can tighten the cuff around your wrist making a seal so no snow can get inside your gloves, it also make it much harder for them to simply fall off!

Heat vents are a great addition as they not only make the glove really breathable but they also let you breathe hot air into you gloves if they start to get a tad chilly!

It is also very recommended to look for textured palms and fingertips as this gives you much more grip when holding onto your poles or board.
